Kwadaso in retrospection: A year of reckoning and accountability is now

By A Concerned Npp Sympathizer

We have noticed with grave concern the way and manner in which the party lost horribly in the just t general elections in kwadaso constituency, the world bank of NPP base which uses to fetch the party most of its votes in Ashanti region.

Many have questioned the integrity and actions of our leaders and atttributed the cause and the occurrences to the fact that, the party lost touch it base, a situation where the grassroots, footsoldiers, sympathizers and party loyalists were disconnected and rejected.

Others are also of the view that, the good people and constituents of Kwadaso didn’t vote because of the delegates structure, put in place ie. the improper way of selecting families and friends to represent the party in the polling stations levels ( polling station executives) and one can testify that, kwadaso is no exception.

Sections of the NPP faithfuls believe that, the appointees of the Nana Addo’s government were not up to task. Besides, their attitudes, demeanor and countenance towards the party’s base were unpleasantly created dissatisfactions among the members that cause the down fall of the party in the just ended general elections 2024. So many issues have been raised to seek solutions to the problem but the actual cause has been left off the hook.

We are very much aware that, the mother party have established a committee to look into the situation and fish out the general occurrences that accounted for the party’s failure . We are also optimistic that, the committee’s findings would be positive and would be made available to the hierarchy and the general public for us to update the party’s constitution. we anticipate rebuilding, restructuring and bouncing back stronger than before but, record must be set straight for us to unravel the core of the situation that led to the party’s abysmal performance.

Sometimes, We must learn to swallow a biter pill in order to push our leaders, appointees and elders In our political circle to the wall for them to account for their actions and inactions. Although the party has thought it wise to establish a committee to look into internal matters but, Before the committee set out to investigate into the issues bothering the party, truth must be told in the face of some of our leaders and appointees we selected ( Voted) to leading the party.

Information we have uncovered suggests that, two days to the general elections, the party gave hopping amount of ₵1.74 million to kwadaso constituency to enhance its operations, for the party to garner votes within our enclave. As a true blue and party faithful, I am tempted and honorably want to ask, how those monies were spent and didn’t yield any positive results?

The source also indicated that, the money was presented to the constituency in a briefcase with a passcode. The same source suggested that, the code was only whispered into the ears of the member of parliament. It is our humble plea that, Mr. MP of Kwadaso updates us and as matter of urgency do us a favour and be Sincere and honest to the good people of Kwadaso and show them how the money was spent.

The constituents and the party loyalist are contemplating and anxious want to know if indeed, the money was spent appropriately and properly disbursed in its rightful places. It will interest you the reader reading this piece to know that, we have about 203 polling stations across the constituency. If every polling station accommodated two agents addition to the two at the collation center, who received 200 and 500 respectively, what else did the MP and the executives used the money for? Harmless question that demands immediate answer. There is a saying that, to whom much is giving much is expected.

What was the output after all these monies?

Same source also suggested that, prior to the general elections, the party gave out five(5) motorcycles and to also enhance the constituency activities. It was said that, they were with MP. Our humble plea, Mr. MP can you update us on how the motorcycles were shared according to the purpose it was given to the constituency?
