Kwamo Chief Acted Autocratic For Locking Up Tanoh Shrine, Bolted Away With Its Gold Jewellery
The Okomfo Agyeman Tanoh shrine has been locked for over two years now by the autocratic chief of Kwamu with no reason. The said chief also bolted away with gold jewellery belonging to the shrine.
Speaking with the chief priest of Okomfo Agyeman Tanoh shrine, Nana Tanoh expressed worry about the negligence of the ordeal by the Kwamu chief whilst he has petitioned Otumfour Osei Tutu several times but, all proved futile.
He said his major concern is that, if calamity befalls the community, he is the one to blame.
According to him, the chief who was instructed by Otumfour to mediate the matter and bring solutions for the reopening of the shrine fell ill, and now that he is strong and healthy, he doesn’t see the reason for the delays.
“This is the god that led the Ashanti kingdom to settle down in Asanteman. You can’t feed such gods outside and locked it for two years with no tangible reason,” he lamented.
Meanwhile the Executive director of corruption combat international has added his voice to Bantanahene ruling which have raised a lot of controversy on who is guilty or not.
The caretakers at the Antoa Nyamaa shrine have redirected the said Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and the Kokosohene, Nana Kwaku Duah, to return to Manhyia to properly resolve their differences before the curse placed on the Kokosohene’s head if found innocent over the matter.
He observed that the Bantama chief did a shoddy job in acting on authorities of Otumfour Osei Tutu.
Nana Kwadwo Amoah Ampem Okogyeabour made this known to the media that in case of such nature like the chiefs should have imposed a fine on chairman Wontumi to taught him a bitter of lesson.
