Live up to your mandate as a pastor and stay neutral in political issues – clergy to colleagues

The Head Pastor of the Kumasi Breman branch of the Jesus Christ Gospel Power Ministry, Prophet Mark Ofori Gyimah aka Osofo Kaakyire has stressed the need for pastors to stay neutral in issues that boarder on politics and remain focused on their mandates as men of God and defend the truth.

In his new year message to Ghanaians Prophet Kaakyire expressed worry that many pastors in the country have in the last days deviated from their calls and follow issues that go contrary to their scriptural mandates.

The clergy mentioned politics as one of the obvious instances that have characterized many pastors in the country.

Kaakyire linked the situation to money that have been allegedly diverted the attention of some pastors to follow politicians whose behavior tend to wreck the development of the economy.

According to the man of God as the country usshers into the new year, pastors should speak the truth as it is devoid of falsehood from the politicians who have no love for the country.

Prophet Kaakyire noted that 2023 is a fruitful year as it has been approved by God.

To this end, he admonished Ghanaians to refrain from antisocial vices and support the good policies from the government that could revamp the economy.

Our destiny is in our own hands and therefore we need to behave in a way that could bring prosperity in our lives.

Prophet Kaakyire on this note charged the religious bodies in the country to pray for the country’s prosperity, unity, peace and stability as the country heads towards 2023.
