The Mahama 24hr economy is a deliberate policy intervention which will create enabling environment for businesses to operate 24hrs in three shifts of 8hrs each
The main objective is to promote production, productivity, efficient service delivery and more importantly, the creation of sustainable well-paying jobs for Ghanaians.
All public institutions or agencies with huge customer traffic will operate 24hrs to enhance productivity for the timely delivery of services and reduce corruption
1. 24-Hour ports and harbours
2. 24-Hour Customs
3. 24-Hour Passport Service
4. 24-Hour DVLA
Certain private businesses and companies will be supported by the next NDC/Mahama government to be competitive for the 24hrs operation
The support will take the form of
a. Tax incentives
b. Cheaper and reliable power
c. Financial support through the EXIM Bank, among others
d. Security services through Public-Private security architecture
Note: the above listed interventions under the *Mahama 24hrs economy* will enhance the competitiveness of participating businesses, scale up production and increase productivity
The two additional work shifts that the *Mahama 24hr economy* will introduce will double and in some cases, triple the number of jobs in participating public and private entities
