Majority leader of Parliament will continue to support Suame constituency even if he resigns – Nasara Coordinator

The Nasara Coordinator of the Suame Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (Npp), Alhaji Eliasu Ipala aka Kasanipaho has stated that the hints given by the Majority leader of Parliament, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu that he will no longer contest for his position towards the 2024 elections is though painful, he strongly believes that he will continue to support the constituency after his retirement.

Speaking to a section of the media at his residence, Ipala described Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu as a hardworking and humble parliamentarian the constituency has ever had and that his legacy would remain in the historic books of the party for a very long time to come.

Kasanipaho indicated that whilst the Mp has expressed his readiness to exit, he would put measures in place to ensure that a right candidate is voted to replace him to help maintain the Suame seat.

The Coordinator said Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu as a selfless, transparent and humble Mp, he would make sure to guide the constituency to pick a right candidate who would be capable to continue his good works.

To this end, Alhaji Eliasu Ipala asserted that when the time comes he anticipates that all the constituency including the branch executives would meet the Majority leader to deliberate on how best a suitable prospective candidate would be picked to occupy the position.

He said if this step is taken it would help maintain peace and stability of the party to enhance the winning chances of the party in the 2024 general elections.

As a human being he has his freedom to decide, after all Kyei Mensah Bonsu has used his strength, resources and knowledge to transform the Suame Constituency and as such he needs to rest, Ipala pointed out.
