MCE Nana Raymond Ebbah cuts sod for multiple projects within Wassa Amenfii East Municipality

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Wassa Amenfi East in the Western Region Hon Raymond Nana Ebbah has taken a significant steps towards improving educational infrastructure and access to clean water in the municipality.

He recently cut the sod for several school projects and borehole initiatives, funded by the outfit’s Common Fund.

The initiative is aimed at benefiting ten deprived communities within the Municipality’s.

The projects outlined for the ten communities include the construction of 10 boreholes and 10 number 3-unit classroom block.

These pro are expected to enhance learning environment and provide potable drinking water for residents.

In an impressive ceremony at the Wassa Akropong M/A basic ‘A’ school, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah who was accompanied by enthusiastic NDC sympathizers and community leaders officially inaugurated the projects.

The beneficiary communities include Nyamebekyere, Kojofada, Asesensu, Bonakrom, Dompoase, Baidekrom/Ayigyekrom, Kyebikrom, Gyedua, Mensakrom, and Jonjoso.

Addressing journalists after the sod cutting the MCE explained that the projects have been awarded to local contractors from the Wassa Amenfi East who are aligned with President John Dramani Mahama’s vision to empower local construction firms.

Nana Raymond Ebbah emphasized that the projects are not expected to experience delays stressing that with the timely release of funds from the District Assembly Common Fund for which he expressed gratitude to President Mahama and the Fund’s Administrators all the projects would be completed within the stipulated time

Hon. Ebbah reiterated the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly’s readiness train, mentoring, and empowering the local contractors in the district ultimately to enhance the assembly’s localized construction capabilities to contribute to the local economic growth in the Amenfi East.

The Municipal Chief Executive tasked the contractors workig on the projects to use quality building and plumbing materials to ensure value for money.

He expressed his commitment to conduct regular site visits and supervision to monitor progress to ensure that the contractors deliver good work.

He assured the people of Wassa Amenfi East of accountability and transparency in utilizing the Assembly’s Common Fund.

However the current spread of projects within the Wassa Amenfi East give a vivid evidence that the MCE is up to the welfare of his people and nothing more.
