MP dishes out GHC 20k to support Bibiani College of Health Science.

In response to the shocking fire incident that occurred at the Bibiani College of Health Sciences, Hon. Alfred Obeng-Boateng,who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, has personally visited Anhwiaso to assess the aftermath and support the institute with a whooping sum of Ghc 20k, reports King Amoah our political correspondent in the Ashanti region.

The fire disaster occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, June 6, 2023, sending shockwaves through the college community.

And it was based on the incident which prompted the affable and hard-working Mp Hon. Obeng-Boateng to tour the accident scene with the college’s Principal, Mr. Thomas Aziema and other school’s officials to express his deep empathy to the entire college for the damages caused by the fire.

In a brief ceremony held at the school premises Hon Obeng-Boateng shared his distress upon hearing the news on June 6, 2023.

He expressed his gratitude to God of whose guidance and mercy no lives were lost as a result of the fire outbreak.

He empathized with the students for the trauma they underwent through on the fateful day.

According to our correspondent the Mp assured that a letter has already been sent to the Presidency through the Chief of Staff, and he remains optimistic about a prompt response and positive outcome.

He further stressed that the Ministry of Health and the NADMO Directors in the region have been notified of the incident for assistance.

As a personal contribution, the MP offered an amount of GHC 20,000. to support the students for their personal care.

The MCE for the area, Mr. Paul Andoh (aka Polando) pledged to take quick action to secure relief items from the Municipal Assembly for the college.

The leaders of the institution expressed their appreciation for the gesture done by the Mp and assured the legislator that the donated funds would be used for the intended purpose.

Accompanying Hon Obeng-Boateng and Mr. Andoh were several individuals who played key roles in the response efforts.

Among them are Mr Solomon Boamah, the Research and Elections Officer, Joseph Badu, the Organizer, Badu Job, the Youth Organizer, Ibrahim Mohammed, the Deputy Nasara Coordinator, and Ben Kumi respectively who gave their solidarity messages to show their concerns over plight of the College.
