Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III made this remarks at the Boa-Amponsem Palace in Dunkwa-On-Offin during Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s recent courtesy visit as part of his week-long campaign tour of the Central and Ashanti region.
The queen mother emphasized that Dr. Opoku Prempeh, an Ashanti royal with ties to Denkyira, embodies the bravery characteristic of the Denkyira people.
She noted that Napo’s bold approach to his responsibilities might be misconstrued as arrogance
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh responded by requesting the blessings once granted to his uncle, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, during a visit to their ancestral roots in Denkyira.
He emphasized that his royal upbringing has fostered a commitment to truthfulness, which can occasionally be misunderstood.
Dr Bawumia’s running mate pledged to continue serving the country with humility and dedication to its progress.
Intereacting with the media at the function, Mr. Lawrence Kwabena Agyinsam, Chief Executive Officer of Exim Bank Ghana, highlighted that Napo’s confidence and bravery were instrumental in implementing the free SHS program, restoring teacher training allowances during his tenure as Education Minister, and addressing the Energy’s energy crisis as Energy Minister.
