New Patriotic Party 2024 manifesto reservations and it’s anticipated awful abysmal plan.

Dr. Bawumia promised to nationalise the mineral mining sector of Ogyakrom and NPP audience were clapping as though they are,

-i) unaware that they are philosophically lost in their mission of being a democratic party yet planning to implement a communist economic model;

-ii) Planning to kick out all foreign direct investment and their private properties in Ogyakrom. This would be nothing but a replay of the UP-NPP 1969 Aliens Compliance Order in the offering;

-iii) Not aware that if the Anglogolds, Golden Star, Persius mining, Tullow, etc. pack out of or scale down operations in Ogyakrom because of that promise, the nation would lose big time in labour, revenue and its cascading effect;

-iii) Alerting everyone that they want to covert foreigners properties for NPP members dubious acquisition to becoming wealthy;

-iv) Not conscious of the new world order and its awaiting sanctions on Ogyakrom to the collective suffering of Ghanaians.

Then,
_Flat import tariffs_ – He also promised a flat import tariff which is another lalaland dreams as Ogyakrom is a signatory to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) treaty which would discipline us as a nation if we ever attempt that against the published harmonised tariffs of WTO and ECOWAS Custome Code. A WTO sanction has the high propensity to decimate the economy of Ogyakrom within months and immediate action must be taken to expunge that thought from the skull of the Dr. Bawumia and his NPP think tank.

_Flat domestic Tax_ – Another retrogressive plan as it would further reduce the nation’s revenue collection in percentile terms which is already lower than the African average revenue collected.

Ogyakrom is collecting about 15% taxes when the expected African average is 18%, then it is NPP’s plan to give tax holidays, tax the rich less and the poor higher with the flat tax system to be introduced come 2025 with its attendant obvious reduction in revenue.

Apparently, the budget average deficit for the last 7 years is around 10%, of which taxes should cover to make the budget a break even at best for a developing nation that claims to be independent, the Bawumia thought as the NPP plan is to further worsen the budget deficit with the domestic flat tax scheme to about 13% – 18%.

🤣😂😀 _Conflagration 3% cut in government expenditure_ Funny when Kojo Oppong Nkrumah the NPP manifesto committee vice chair went on air (JoyFm) this morning to mention that they plan to cut expenditure by 3% of GDP to be redirected for the promotion of private businesses. He seems not to have taken cognisance of the average 10% budget deficit of which in reality would swallow the 3% of GDP expenditure cut and still leave the year 2025 with a deficit of 7% to be financed by foreign countries known as development partners whose affiliates properties and businesses Dr. Bawumia pledged to nationalise.
Oppong Nkrumah claims the NPP would cut government expenditure by 3% of GDP while his flag bearer Dr. Bawumia says he would increase government spending of GDP, which is which?

Are they aiming for a zero sum effect or a negative sum effect?

Certainly it is not communication inconsistency, rather communication contronym or simply contrasting communication from same team (NPP).

Permit my harshness here. NPP are jokes and they continue to openly display their ineptitude in power and anticipated awful abysmal performance in wanting extension of power.

Sad that the NPP manifesto is uninspiring and if Ghanaians make the mistake to give the NPP another term, they would crush the already ailing economy.
