The Member of Parliament for Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency, Hon. Lawrence Kwabena Agyinsam, has donated a significant amount GHS 20,000 and 10 packets of roofing sheets to support the re-roofing of Mbem D/A Basic School, which suffered severe damages after a heavy storm had ripped off its roof.
The donation aims to provide immediate relief and ensure the restoration of a safe and conducive learning environment for students and staff.
During the presentation Mr. Agyinsam emphasized the significance of education as a cornerstone of his development agenda. He highlighted that education is a critical tool for empowering the youth and fostering community growth, and it remains a key priority in his manifesto. The MP assured the school and the community of his continuous support in promoting quality education and ensuring the welfare of students.
Mr. Agyinsam also commended the efforts of teachers and parents in the community, acknowledging the challenges they face in providing education under such difficult circumstances. He urged the community and other stakeholders to come together and support the school in its recovery efforts, emphasizing that investing in education is an investment in the future of the constituency.
The Chief and Elders of Mbem expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the MP for his timely intervention. They noted that the donation would go a long way in restoring the school’s infrastructure and enabling students to resume their studies in a safe and comfortable environment.
