Npp to embark on dangerous roadmap…in desperate attempt to avoid looming defeat in the De. 7 elections.

Strategists of the ruling NPP have drawn up a dangerous road map which they are pursuing with zeal in a bid to avoid defeat in the general election this December.

The strategy would leave Ghana more broke than it currently is. Currently, Ghana’s economy is in tartars and according to Prof. Frimpong Boateng, a Former Minister in the Akufo-Addo government, economists he knows have told him Ghana’s economy under the NPP government is in such a mess that it would take 30 years for it to have a semblance of recovery.

Regardless of this state of affairs, NPP strategists are so desperate to avoid defeat this December that they are ready to push the economy further into the doldrums if that would make them avoid defeat.

At a meeting held in the early part of this year, the man who is regarded as the de facto Prime Minister of the current NPP government proposed that the party embark on infrastructural development of all kinds to deceive Ghanaians that the party is working for them and therefore must be retained.

The de facto Prime Minister told the meeting that embarking on projects even if they cannot be completed is important to gain the trust of voters. According to him, every district in Ghana must get projects going, even if they cannot be completed. When some of those present protested, arguing that embarking on such large scale projects just for votes will collapse the economy, the de facto Prime Minister retorted that, it is better for them to preside over a collapsed economy than be going to court every morning to answer charges of corruption and causing financial loss to the state.

His response went well with most of the people at the meeting. However, a few were not convinced. With the majority buying into the de facto Prime Minister’s strategy, the few dissenting voices had to give up and agree to the projects galore road map. Ghanaians should therefore not be surprised to wake up to find one project or the other that the NPP has failed to executed since 2017 suddenly being executed; from roads through schools to hospitals, bridges and more.

This accounts for the the beginning of many infrastructural projects as well reconstruction of old ones that are beginning to be seen all over the country. Many of them, once the election is over, will be abandoned with the excuse that there are no funds.

A worried NPP insider told this paper this invidious plan is going to plunge Ghana further into economic mess as the NPP government is going to borrows more as well as use the little that is left in the national coffers to execute these projects, some of which will never be completed and therefore would be of no benefit to the nation.

“The danger here is that any government, even a new NPP government which takes over from this current government will be inheriting a mess about five times more than the current mess that made us ran to the IMF” the insider said. In line with this projects is the decision to give Ghc1 million to each district to embark on infrastructural project of their choice.

Apart from the GHc1million, the NPP government intends to launch Construction equipment on the 30th of July, 2024. With these construction equipment, the districts are to embark on projects in their localities, whether they can complete it or not before December 7, aimed solely at courting voter support for the NPP government.

However, some believe that any such projects the NPP government will be embarking on is too late in the day to convince voters to vote for the NPP.
“The Ghanaian voter has become very sophisticated. If he sees such projects coming on with only four months to the election, he would not be fooled. He knows you are doing it only for votes.” the NPP insider said.

COMMENTS OF CAUCUS FOR MATURE DEMOCRATS (CMD)

For all the past undemocratic acts, corruption, illegalities and the attempts at corruption and illegal mining clearing like Akunta mining whose excavators were arrested by police in the forest destroying our forest and water bodies, using the police to harass and intimidate peaceful demonstrators; and

president nana addo’s letter which sought to clear Cecilia Abena Dapaah in whose bedroom a colossal amount of $1million, 300 thousand euros and an unspecified amount of Ghana cedis was found under her bed and obscure areas in her room, the Caucus For Mature Democrats (CMD) and some other Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) are ready to defend our constitution, Democracy and Peace with our lives.

We are very prepared, ready and willing, to put our lives on the line against any recurring excesses of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAFs), the Police Service, and the National Security as experienced in election 2020 where we had 8 innocent citizens shot and killed because nana addo the mother serpent of corruption who looted and wasted to collapse the economy and Bank of Ghana, desperately wanted to retain power either by hook or crook.

It must be placed on record that, CMD and other CSOs are ready to defend ourselves, the constitution, our peace, security and democracy with our lives for our children and future generations yet unborn.

It must be added on record for the understanding of president nana addo, Laud Chommey, Bryan Acheampong and npp that, we are ready for any of their shenanigans should they be thinking they got to the presidency either through the barrel of the gun, their strength or bravery took them there

CMD therefore cautions the Ghana Armed Forces, The Police Service, National Security, National Peace Council, The Judiciary, Electoral Commission and Christian Council to be very professional in execution of their mandates this time around because, the excesses of the security agencies and the hypocrisy of National peace Council and Christian Council has fully been detected and will never be tolerated.

Therefore they better play their roles for which they were created or take serious note that THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN STOP THE UNSTOPPABLE CHANGE THAT IS COMING.
