Okaishie chief delivers Christmas message, calls for development and community safety

Okaishie Mantse, Nii Tetteh Addy I, has sent heartfelt Christmas messages to Ghanaians, especially the people of Okaishie.

In his address, the chief urged the government to prioritize the reconstruction of the demolished Makola Number 1 Market. He suggested that rebuilding the market with additional shops would help traders move off the pavements and create a more organized trading environment. “This initiative will not only decongest the streets but also boost business activities in Okaishie,” he stated.

He also raised concerns about frequent power outages in Okaishie, describing them as detrimental to the area’s vibrant business activities. “Okaishie is a business hub, and we need consistent electricity to thrive. I appeal to the government to address this issue urgently,” he emphasized.

Nii Tetteh Addy I also used the occasion to advise drivers to avoid overspeeding during the holiday season, urging them to ensure safety on the roads. He reminded market traders to be cautious with fire and electrical appliances during the Harmattan season to prevent fire outbreaks.

The chief further advised the youth to avoid drug abuse and focus on responsible behavior during the holidays. He expressed his love for the people of Okaishie and wished everyone a joyful Christmas celebration.
