Opel kia worth over ghs 150 million burnt to ashes over fire outbreak.
There was a fire outbreak at Obomeng – Kwahu in the Eastern region at the Level 300 Pub on Wednesday March 6 2024, where one person burnt to death and others in critical condition.
That was not all, a slightly used Opel Kia allegedly worth over ghs 150 million which was then also parked behind the said bar attracted the fire burning it instantly to ashes.
According to eyewitness account, the incident took place at about 8pm when customers were busily enjoying themselves.
Reports indicated that the whole episode begun when the bar operators begun to experience power outages in the form of “dumsor, dumsor”.
Sources said as the pub owner was managing to set up a generating plant to replace the dumsor occurances the power suddenly appeared and went off three times.
In an attempt to disconnect everything the dumsor resurfaced amidst fire that compelled some of the customers to leave the pub.
In the process the fire caught up with some customers and extended to the place where the Kia was parked and burnt it down to ashes.
After the fire was finally extinguished a young man was found dead with others in critical conditions.
At press time the victims had been referred to the nearest hospital whilst police had launched investigations into the case.
