A sad report from Duayaw Nkwanta in the Ahafo Region confirms the death of a police officer identified as Sergeant Korankye Brown.
The late police officer allegedly shot himself to death inside Duayaw Nkwanta police station’s charge office.
According to unconfirmed reports, the officer had earlier engaged in a heated quarrel with his wife before the tragic incident.
He is said to have entered the charge office where he ended his life with his service weapon.
Details surrounding the incident are currently sketchy, and it is not yet clear what may have driven the officer to take such a drastic action.
Police authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
The body of the officer has reportedly been deposited at a nearby hospital morgue as investigations continue.
