PETITION FOR REMOVAL OF JEAN MENSAH, OTHER NPP CARD-BEARING MEMBERS, OVERHAUL OF THE JUDICIARY AND FOR DISBANDMENT OF NATIONAL PEACE COUNCIL.
ELECTORAL COMMISSION
The Caucus is very disappointed once again that jean Adukwei Mensah, bossman asare, Appiahene and other npp card-bearing members still at EC signing letters and drawing monthly salary at the expense of the suffering taxpayers.
The indiscretions of these partisan officials led to shooting and killing of 8 innocent citizens in election 2020 and another 4 or 5 needless deaths again in election 2024 following another unconstitutional sanctioning of recollation exercise in some disputed constituencies; an exercise which was not supported by our electoral laws.
JUDICIARY
Now permit CMD to move a little to the judiciary where the former president akufo addo appointed many npp card bearing members to the judiciary from the High Court level to the Supreme Court of the state. What was his reason for doing that?
Perhaps CMD is of the opinion that, he only staffed the judiciary to cover up his reckless borrowing, reckless and opulent spending wasting of our $20,000 per hour on foreign luxury private jets and corruption. What was more annoying was his continued arrogance and abuse of power:
ARROGANCE OF POWER
We came out to demonstrate against many of his misdeeds like the reckless borrowing of the finance Minister, ken ofori atta; former president akufo addo didn’t care. Fix the country; they told us to FIX OURSELVES. Ken ofori atta must go demonstration, even with 85 or was it 95 members of npp parliamentarians rising in support of ken must go, akufo addo didn’t care; occupy BoG, akufo addo didn’t care. Impunity galore!
Then, another chaos happened during the vetting where tables were broken, microphones destroyed and from all indications, the chaos was triggered by the micro minority led by Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin. We demand thorough investigations and punishment meted out to the culprits to serve as deterrent not only on the chaos, but also the reckless attack on Dr Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings, and the reckless pronouncement of the Nsawam Adoagyiri member of parliament, DISHONOURABLE Frank Annor Dompreh.
CMD calls on the president and the Speaker of parliament, Rt honourable Alban Sumana Kinsford Bagbin to investigate it to the latter and punish culprits to serve as deterrent to other aggressors like Annor Dompreh. There should be no level headed citizen who will call sanitising the system in line with the RESET GHANA AGENDA as WITCH-HUNT. Of course CMD want to put on record that, all those who don’t care about the peace and democracy of Ghana must be identified as ENEMIES OF THE STATE and all such witches must legitimately be hunted.
NATIONAL PEACE COUNCIL
The national peace council has since been inefficient, ineffective and CMD seriously calls on H.E. President John Mahama to, as a matter of urgency SCRAP National peace council for non-performance. Ghanaians deserve better and we ought to have heard them publicly condemn the shooting and killing of the 8 innocent citizens in election 2020, which they never did till date.
Ghanaians expected them to come out and condemn the electoral Commission for illegally sanctioning a recollation Exercise not supported by law, again they never did.
Citizens expected them to come out to condemn the chaos deliberately created by the micro minority in parliament from all indications from the video, they never did and still remain so silent.
Ghanaians expected them to come out to condemn the reckless declaration of Annor Dompreh, the when an NDC member is seen fighting with an npp member, the other npp man near must come out and help the npp man to beat the NDC man, they never did and still so silent.
So finally the simple question CMD asks the National Peace Council is that, WHAT IS THE USE OF THE NATIONAL PEACE COUNCIL to the state and citizens?
To conclude, CMD strongly urges the president, H.E. John Dramani Mahama to IMMEDIATELY SCRAP National Peace Council for nonperformance and look into our other legitimate outcry.
