President Mahama has warned that bloggers and vloggers who post irresponsible content online will face serious consequences.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, September 10, the President said that the government has been patient with social media users for too long. He believes it’s time to take action.
He explained that since the rise of new media, many people have been posting anything they want without rules. The government is now working on plans to regulate online content more strictly.
President Mahama also revealed that the government has developed technology that can track people using their IP addresses.
He warned that from now on, anyone who misbehaves online especially bloggers and vloggers will be traced and dealt with properly.
