This observation was powerfully made by a prominent Kumasi -based clergyman Apostle John Kwaku Appiah who is the Head Pastor of the Faith Outreach Ministries of Ghana located at Oforikrom suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region
Speaking to the Correspondent King Amoah in an exclusive interview following an inspiring church service on Sunday January 2026, Apostle Appiah disclosed that the nation’s economic development hinges on its citizens’ commitment to two fundamental pillars he mentioned them as righteousness and hardwork.
Describing 2026 as a new chapter he emphasized the need for Ghanaians to shift their focus towards goodness and exemplary lives worth of emulation.
As citizens of this countr he stated that our efforts should be directed towards righteousness and hardwork.
Stressing that this is the path that we can set ourselves free from difficulties of which many of us usually attribute it to malevolent forces.
Apostle John Kwaku Appiah insisted that true self sufficiency and economic breakthrough are unattainable without a conscious and collective commitment to personal transformation as he urged citizens to critically assess their past mistakes and rectify them.
Without transformation our struggles will remain meaningless he cautioned.
Elaborating further on the dawn of the new year the clergyman implored Ghanaians to embrace unity, love, and good deeds as a central themes for 2026.
He firmly advocated for the avoidance of antisocial vices, which he identified them as a potential impediments to national progress.
While acknowledging the government’s efforts in safeguarding the nation’s welfare he stressed that individual contributions are equally vital to the success of national initiatives and development.
The destiny and development of our country, he declared depends on how we fear God and promote righteousness,

On the religious landscape Apostle Appiah expressed his disappointment regarding the alarming rise of falsehood within the House of God.
He particularly condemned the proliferation of deceptive prophecies that are often employed by certain self-styled men of God to defraud the public and congregations.
While advising the faithful and the general public to remain vigilant against such charlatans he cautioned these individuals against their unholy conduct in the society.
.I caution you against your deceptive conduct and turn over a new leaf in 2026 before the judgment day catches up and cast you into the lake of fire, he admonished.
Apostle John Kwaku Appiah concluded his message by extending his warmest greetings to President John Dramani Mahama, his Ministers, traditional authorities and all Ghanaians.
