Robbery Attack On Mobile Shop At Kwame Danso Leaves Two Dead, Three Injured.
The residents of Kwame Danso in the Sene West District of the Bono East Region witnessed a sordid spectacle of events on Saturday, July 22, 2023 when an alleged five armed robbers were captured for attacking a mobile shop in the town, reports Daniel Adu Gyamfi, our Bono East Regional correspondent.
In the process two of the robbers were killed while three others sustained various bodily injuries and were referred to a hospital for treatment.
The suspected robbers made away with phones and other accessories worth several thousands of Ghana Cedis.
Information gathered have it that the suspects entered into a mobile shop on alleged robbery mission a few minutes after the power went off at Kwame Dansob about 7:40pm and left the scene.
Sources disclosed that a few minutes later the power came back making the shop owner to visit the shop for business, but he was taken aback when he came across what had happened to the shop.
The shop owner it was said, quickly organized and mount a search party that eventually captured the the five dreadful armed robbers.
It was here when the robbers made an alleged confrontation with the residents to resist arrest, but unfortunately for them they were overpowered and in the process two of them were killed.
The three injured robbers were rushed to the Yeji Government Hospital for treatment at the time of going to press.
The deceased have since been identified as, Adamu Ibrahim, 40 and Abubakar Karim, 19 whose demises have been taken over by thei family members.
The incident is yet to be reported to the police for further action at the time of filling this report.
Though no police reports have been made, the families of the deceased persons are urging the police to seek justice for their deceased sons.
The incident has left many people in fear and panic, and thus hindering their daily activities in the area.
