A controversy has emerged in the Cape Coast North Constituency, where Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, the incumbent Member of Parliament, and his supporters are accused of plotting to disrupt the upcoming Astro Turf project.
The project, initiated by Hon. Horace Ekow Ewusi, NPP Parliamentary Candidate, aims to provide a state-of-the-art sports facility for the community.
Sources close to the matter allege that the NDC’s Deputy Constituency Communications officer and personal aide to Dr. Nyarko publicly expressed opposition to the project on air, inciting followers to attack contractors on site.
This has raised concerns among residents, eagerly awaiting for the project’s completion.
The Astro Turf project promises to boost sports development and create opportunities for youth. Any attempts to sabotage the project would harm the community and undermine democratic values.
Efforts to reach Dr. Nyarku for comment have been unsuccessful.
The people of Abura, along with their Chiefs, demand transparency and an end to such divisive tactics, ensuring the project’s success for the greater good.
