Sokwaiman is set to raise funds for toilet project.
The residents of Sokwai in the Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency in the Ashanti region are set to raise funds to build an ultra modern toilet facility to serve the town.
In an interview with the Assemblyman for the area, Hon Nsiah he he expressed worry about the rate in which open defecation have been going on in the area.
He said the open defecation activities pose a health threat for the the town and moreover disgraces the residents when a visitor request for a place of convenience to ease himself.
Nsiah said it is against this background hence he and his Unit Committee members together with the town elders have set aside the Easter Sunday to raise funds for the toilet project.
Hon Nsiah took the opportunity to appeal to all the citizens of Sokwai both at home and outside to be present and contribute to the project for their own benefit.
