Sudec Ghana commends the residents of Kenyase- Abrem for keeping proper environment.
During the Community Sanitation Check (CSC) at Kenyasi-Abrem in the Kwabre East Constituency in the Ashanti Region, on Friday, 9th June, 2023, as part of the Schools and Communities Sanitation Improvement Programme (SaCSIP), Connectghananews website team was very impressed to see a lady dumping waste into a waste bin.
The action of the woman confirmed, the waste bins that were introduced by KMA in connection with the ‘Keep Kumasi Clean and Green'(KKCG) initiative some years back.
We thus commend the people of Abrem for not stealing or destroying the waste bins but maintaining it till this time, as that is the case in several places in Kumasi.
However, the people of Abrem are being urged to heed to the ‘STAND UP FOR YOUR COMMUNITY’ project introduced by SUDEF Ghana, a Kumasi based environmental Non Government Organization (NGO) to undertake clean-up exercise on every Saturday to help desilt choked gutters and clean the community.
