Sunyani town roads to be tackled and completed before the end of this year- Dr BAWUMIA

The vice president and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party has averred that a contractor have been engaged to tackle the Sunyani Town roads including Magazine town roads

He disclosed this when he met membership of the informal sector including the Ghana Association of Garages, Hairdressers and Beautician Association, Sunyani Traders Association, Ghana Association of Fashion Designers in Sunyani, the Capital of the Bono Region.

In his response to the call of the Associations to tackle some of the roads in the Municipality, he stated “ your MP, Hon Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, the Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffour and Sunyani West MP have been on my neck and so, the contractor would soon be in the constituency to tackle and complete the town roads including the Magzine Roads by end of the year”

The Vice President in the early hours also commissioned the second Fire service college and training school established by the government at Duayaw Nkwanta in the Ahafo region following the recent commissioning of the Wungu fire service college in the North East Region making the AKufo Addo government the first government since independence to build a fire college since the country had only one from the colonial era.

He also promised to implement his FLAT TAX RATE policy regime as well his the famous TAX AMNESTY package for all businesses and individuals to usher the country into the new flat tax rate regime he would be introducing as President from 2025.

He again adopted their request to establishing Hostels for the apprentices of the Associations as have been done for “Kayaayes” through his intervention as Vice President.

He accepted their invitation to fully digitalize the governance system to enhance efficiency of service delivery and economic prosperity.

He recounted his many accomplishments as Vice president including leading for the successful implementation of the Ghana card, issuance of Ghana card number at birth, one student one tablet policy, mobile money interoperability system, medical drones delivery system, agenda 111 hospitals, Gold for Oil policy etc.

He reemphasized his problems solving ability and pledged his support to business to help them thrive through the provision of flexible loans, training support etc to aide the associations ability to compete globally.

He intimated that, the current government through his intervention has earmarked some 660 million Cedis to support some 160000 business in the coming days.

He also invited the associations to access the the Business support programme by the Youth Employment Agency which has been designed to help pay workers recruited by the owners of the businesses.

The Associations in response to the propositions and answers of the Flagbearer declared absolute support for the Vice President and his Parliamentary candidate to usher the country into the new world of the Bold Solutions to our problems.

The flagbearer also paid a courtesy call on the Muslim Fraternity, Zongo Chiefs including the Christian leadership at the Sunyani Central mosque to worship with his fellow Muslim brothers and Sisters.

He touched on religious discipline and tolerance amongst the religious communities and wooed their unflinching support with the promise to work hand in hand with the faith based organizations to propel the growth of the country.

ALHAJI Imam Baba Saeed on behalf of Muslims and the Zongos community indicated their readiness to partner the flagbearer and the MP to rake in more development into the Municipality and intimated that their support for him does not only Stem out of he being a Muslim, A Zongo Man or a Northerner but their support is also based on the fact that, he is an honest and disciplined person with a God fearing heart.

The Vice President and flagbearer was accompanied by the Bono Regional Chairman, Mr Kwame Baffoe Abronye and his executive. The Member of Parliament of the Area, Hon Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh , the MCE of the Municipality, Hon Ansu Kumi, Constituency executives led by Chairman Bartholomew Incoom, other Parliamentary candidates and MMDCEs in the Region.
