A teacher anticipates that John Dramani Mahama will cancel the teacher’s licensure examinations when he wins to the upcoming elections.
We will cancel that rubbish exams called licensure exam.
It doesn’t add any knowledge to the teaching neither does it add anything to the teacher’s pedagogical skills.
All it does is to create a calculated format to fail well trained teachers from the various prestigious Universities and Colleges and deny them employment.
All it does is to use it as avenue for the wicked NPP government to exhort monies from the unemployed trained and qualified teachers.
Today, one needs to pay 500 cedis before he or she can register this exam that no one knows the pass mark and selection criteria and as I’m writing more than 17,000 graduates from various training colleges and universities have registered for this so called exam to write in September and if each unemployed graduate is paying 500 to the NTC, what is the government going to use this extorted 8,500,000.00 from the unemployed graduate for ?
Today, the unemployed graduate is expected to travel to an unfamiliar area to write this exam with accomodation stress and expenditure for food and transportation for three consecutive days.
People go to training colleges to specialize in various programs to teach and learn not less than 45 courses for a four year degree program and be able to pass and aquire certificates from Universities like UCC, UG, UDS, KNUST and UEW and write an exam which has a content of something different from what they specialized in as their criteria to hold a so called license and you think that is the best way to assess professionalism.
That Exam is the biggest rubbish and scam I’ve ever seen.
We shall surely cancel it when. John Dramani Mahama comes to power.
