In a video sighted by Connectghananews.com as shared by Saddick Adams aka Sports Obama, President Ibrahim Traore isn’t happy with Ghanaian traders defying his country’s strict import and export bans on cereals.
Despite Burkina Faso’s clear stance on boosting self-sufficiency and limiting reliance on foreign goods, Ghanaian exporters continue to cross the border—pointing to a long-standing bilateral trade agreement.
But Traore has had enough. He’s reportedly reached out directly to his close friend, President John Mahama, asking him to warn Ghanaians: Respect the ban, or face consequences.
Traore’s priority? Burkina Faso first—food security and self-reliance above all. Should Ghana back off or push back?
