A press release from the Gallant Cadres of the Ndc

The Minority Caucus in Parliament’s recent meeting with International Monetary Fund (IMF) officials potrays the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as traitors to Ghana’s development. The meeting, held at the request of Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, aimed to discuss recent economic developments and policy direction in Ghana, this is according to the minority leader.
This is not the first time the NPP is undermining Ghana’s interests. Historical records show that some of their predecessors the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition (which later formed the United Party – UP) held secret meetings with colonial powers to deny the country’s independence. They actively opposed the immediate independence approach of Kwame Nkrumah’s Convention People’s Party (CPP) and sought to delay it, Dr. K.A. Busia and Dr. J.B. Danquah—attempted to convince US President Eisenhower and other international parties not to grant Kwame Nkrumah the loan for the Akosombo Dam construction. They argued that the project was too expensive for Ghana’s economy at the time and obstructed Kwame Nkrumah’s development projects, His legacies of which we all enjoy today.
The IMF delegation, led by Resident Representative Adrian Alter, included AFRITAC West 2 Coordinator Razafimahefa Ivohasina Fizara and IMF Country Office Economist Osa Ahinakwah. The meeting was described as constructive and mutually beneficial, with both sides sharing perspectives on Ghana’s economic situation, but one cannot trust the NPP of harbouring any good intent.

The Gallant Carders are of the view that the NPP’s actions are a continuation of their historical betrayal, prioritizing foreign interests over Ghana’s development. We demand accountability and transparency in the NPP’s dealings with international financial institutions.
As the whole country is witnessing massive infrastructure development under the big push, efficient and effective work being carried out by His Excellency the President John Dramani Mahama and his appointees, the NPP by their hate for Ghana’s development seeks to frustrate it as they did Nkrumah.
Traitors! Traitors!!
