According to a report by Ghbase, Highlife music legend Daddy Lumba was quietly battling serious health problems while many fans only saw his fame and success. His best friend, Dwabeng Fosu, has now revealed that the singer had a spinal injury for many years.

He said Lumba got the injury after an accident when he was young. At that time, he was still very active and didn’t take the injury seriously.

But as he grew older, the pain became worse and started to affect him deeply. Later, doctors told Lumba that he needed surgery to fix his spine.

He went through a difficult operation that cost $40,000. Metal was used to replace parts of his spine during the surgery.
