Top Pastor drags Oti Regional Director of GES to OSP on alleged corruption charges…Meanwhile groups call for the removal of the Director.
Information reaching the website indicates that the founder and leader of the Christ Power Miracle Mission Church at Dome Kwabenya in the Greater Accra region, Very Rev Prophet Anthony Kwarteng has hauled the Oti Regional Director of the Ghana Education Service, Nana Kugbeadzor-Bakateyi II to the Office the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on charges of corruption that have allegedly caused many students in the region to have contracted various diseases.(lesion outbreak disease).
According to the clergy, the presence of the regional director is creating a lot of disquiet among not only the students of the region alone, but also other workers of Ghana Education Service in the region.
Prophet Anthony Kwarteng related that in 2020, under the Ghana Education Service “GALOP” project, the Ghana government through the GES released a substantial funds to the Oti Regional GES for the project execution, but the Regional Director allegedly applied some foul means to transfer the funds into the accounts of Nchumuruman Senior High School in the region after which she withdrew the funds in series to enrich herself.( details of the withdrawal of such funds are in possession of this website.
In Prophet Anthony Kwarteng’s letter to the OSP dated 3-11-2023, he further alleged that another substantial amount of ghc 34,000 have been embezzled by the Director, Nana Kugbeadzor – Bakateyi II in 2022 according to audit report, hence he is seeking the assistance from the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to institute a full scale probe into the matter to unravel the truth otherwise in the allegations.

a section of the Oti Regional workers of Ghana Education Service, Oti Youth and the Old Students of Krachi Senior High School have given the Oti Regional Director of GES two weeks ultimatum, effective today November 6 2023 to pack off from the office.
The groups have jointly threatened to go on massive demonstration, if Nana Kugbeadzor-Bakateyi II is not transfered from the region.
In a petition letter to the Director General of the Ghana Education Service dated 6-11-2023, copied to his two deputies and signed by Very Rev Prophet Anthony Kwarteng, the groups alleged that the presence of the Oti Regional Director of GES is collapsing the Senior High School policy adopted by the government.
The groups charged that with the presence of the Oti Regional Director of GES, about 200 students have contracted various diesease in the region due to malnutritious meals and poor accommodation facilities, which Nana Kugbeadzor Bakateyi II have been allegedly failed to find solutions to them.
When the correspondent called the Oti Regional Director of GES, Nana Kugbeadzor Bakateyi II for her side of the story she could not be reached as her line was out of the coverage area.
