Traders Escape Death As Heavy Downpour Scares Them From Accident Scene.
Hundreds of traders who got the opportunity to carry out their business activities on Saturday April 1 2023 behind the Suhum market in the Eastern Region Central were thankful to God when untimely death eluded them on the fateful day.
Reports reaching us from our correspondent in Suhum have it that on the fateful Wednesday at about 1.30 pm a tipper truck with registration number AW 5705 – 12 collided with a taxi driver.
The truck said to have been loaded with building materials from Accra to Kumasi was allegedly crossed by the cabbie of the taxi who was negotiating a sharp curve at the market.
The truck driver was alleged to have managed affairs to safe the situation but no avail, compelling him to run into a warehouse store.
It was said that sensing danger of his life the taxi driver managed to escape with his car and has since not been apprehended after the incident.
According to interviews conducted by the Correspondent, what seems amazement in the drama was the fact that just before some few minutes of the incident, heavy downpour emerged at the accident spot where number of traders were transacting businesses.
The heavy downpour compelled them to leave the place it was said.
It was God who caused the rain to fall to drive the traders away from the place else a different story might have been told, some of the traders told our correspondent.
