Unidentified woman found dead in New Juaben
A body of woman believed to be in her forties (40’s) was found dead on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, around 7:00 pm.
The body was found behind the Odomankoma Block Factory at Asokore in the New Juaben North Municipality.
In response to this incident, a team of officers from the Municipal Secretariat of the Nationall Disaster Management Organization led by KanKam Twumasi , Operations officer and the Effiduase Police Command, arrived at the scene to remove the deceased to St. Joseph’s Mortuary in Effiduase.
The exact cause of her death remains unknown at the time of filling the reports, but the Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation to ascertain her Identity and the cause of her death.
In the last couple of months, at least two women have been mysteriously killed in New Juaben North.
Regina Asamoah, a 21 year old Nursing Mother was stabbed multiple times to death in her room at Koforidua Asokore
Another woman 54 year old trader, Gloria Asare was also killed same month by unknown assailant(s) on her way to buy cowhide meat in the same Asokore community.
Aside these, the municipality has been inundated by many cases of death on the streets which according to report, about 10 dead bodies collected so far from incidents of drowning, suffocation and pedestrian knock downs.
