Manhyia Palace finally convicts pastor-turned wife snatcher and ordered him to pay Ghc15,000 compensation.
A 5-member panelists at the Asantehemaa’s palace at Manhyia in Kumasi who are trying a case involving a pastor who had allegedly snatched his church member’s wife have today June 20 2023, passed out their final verdict.
Tempering mercy with justice, Nananom (the panelists) finally prevailed on Pastor Macaiah Addai to compensate Mr Kofi Adjei of whose wife Gloria Amponsah, the man of God allegedly used unlawful means to take her over, an amount of Ghc 15,000.
Earlier on their sitting on June 13 2023, the panelists slapped and ordered pastor Macaiah Addai to slaughter four sheep, but his pleadings through a prominent Kumasi chief, the man of God was considered to slaughter two sheep of which he quickly complied.
He was also ordered to compensate Kofi Adjei his Church member of Ghc 20k but in their sitting today June 20 2023, the compensation was reduced, when the man of God once again, upon further pleadings amidst weeping like a trapped lion considered to pay Ghc15,000 to Adjei.
Pastor Macaiah Addai it was learnt, managed to make part payment of GHC5000, out of the Ghc 15,000 and pleaded to settle the balance within a period of two months which the panel members refused and ordered him to pay the remaining balance of Ghc10,000.within one month.
Readers can recalled that Mr Kofi Adjei a church member of the Association of the 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies of which Pastor Macaiah Addai is acting head summoned the pastor before Manhyia Palace on charges of snatching his wife.
Mr Adjei indicated that all efforts he made to convince the wife to return hits the rock, and having confidence in the Manhyia Palace that the chiefs would be in a good position to interpret on how lawful divorce should take its cause, hence the summons against pastor Macaiah Addai who was alleged to have blessed the 21 year old marriage between Adjei and Gloria Amponsah ( the couple)
After the final verdict Mr Adjei thanked Nananom for the transparency and the truth that they shown in the case to expose the conduct of a man who claims to be a representative of God on this universe.
Pastor Macaiah Addai has already have three women as his wives but now counts the women to be four following the snatchings of his church member’s (Kofi Adjei) wife Gloria Amponsah.
