Hon. Napoleon Owusu Asante Agyie, the NPP Assembly Member for Twifo Hemang West Electoral Area in the Central region
has been declined as the Presiding Member of the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District Assembly.
The newly elected Presiding member who is also an employee of the Ministry of Defence secured an overwhelming endorsement from the Assembly Members as he obtained 20 “Yes” votes against 5 “No” zczs election reflects the confidence and trust reposed in him by both elected and appointed Assembly Members to provide strong leadership and guidance to the assembly.
As Presiding Member Hon. ,Owusu Asante Agyie is expected to steer the affairs ,, , of the assembly, promote unity among members, and work closely with the District Chief Executive and other stakeholders to accelerate development within the district.
In his inaugural address, Hon. Owusu Asante Agyie expressed profound gratitude to his colleagues for the confidence reposed in him.
He called for unity, cooperation, and collective commitment among the assembly members to effectively address the pressing development challenges confronting the district.
He emphasized that Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District possesses enormous potential that must be harnessed through teamwork, transparency and dedication to duty.
He further stressed the need to prioritize infrastructure development, improve social services, and create opportunities that will enhance the welfare and livilihoods of the people across all the communities in the district.
According to him, the assembly must work together beyond political affiliations to ensure sustainable development and progress for the entire district.
Hon. Owusu Asante Agyie also appealed to traditional authorities, opinion leaders, and residents of the district to support the Assembly’s vision and programs aimed at transforming the district and improving the quality of life of the people
His election marks a new chapter of leadership and renewed hope for accelerated development in the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District.
