Dear Sir,
REPORT ON ELECTRICITY POLES DAMAGED BY TERMITES AT SOKO
I, the undersigned Nana Kofi Awiah II, Chief of Soko. a town near Offinso in the Afigya Kwabere North District. write to bring to your attention a critical safety hazard currently confronting my community.
For several months Soko has been experiencing frequent power outages caused by the extensive destruction of wooden electricity poles by termites.
The condition of these poles has reached a critical stage as many are now at risk of imminent collapse.
This poses a severe danger to the residents of my town particularly our children who are at risk of electrocution should a pole fall.
I have previously brought this matter to the attention of the District Chief Executive; however no remedial action has been taken to date.
Given the escalating threat to life and the disruption to local business activities, I am now lodging this formal complaint with your office, requesting your urgent intervention.
Please be advised that the residents of Soko are prepared to provide communal labor to assist your technical team during the replacement process to ensure a swift restoration of power.
I trust that you will treat this matter with the urgency it deserves to prevent a potential tragedy.
I look forward to your prompt response and positive action.
Yours faithfully,
