A prominent grassroots activist within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Amos Mensah has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Communications Officer for the Manhyia North Constituency when nominations are officially opened.
Mr. Mensah known for his long standing commitment to the party views this bid as a strategic move to sharpen the party’s outreach to win the hearts of the electorate ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Speaking to the Correspondent in an exclusive interview, Mensah underscored that his primary objective is to leverage his political influence and communications expertise to foster internal harmony.

“My ultimate goal is to attract more voters to the NPP to ensure a decisive victory in 2028,” Mr. Mensah stated.
Beyond mere messaging, I am anxious to use my skills to reconcile aggrieved party members.
A house divided cannot stand and I am committed to bring everyone on board so that we can play our respective roles towards Npp’s victory in the next elections.
During the interaction, Mr. Mensah did not mince words regarding the current political landscape.
He expressed strong disapproval of the performance of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), indicating that many Ghanaians who previously supported the party have deep regretted.
“Many Ghanaians who voted the NDC into power are today cursing their birthday,” he remarked.
They were promised a ‘heaven on earth’ under Mahama’s administration but the reality has been vastly different.
Mr. Mensah highlighted several critical areas where he believes that the NDC has failed to deliver:
He criticized the resurgence of frequent power outages, which he claimed are stifling both domestic and industrial productivity that have been hindering economic development.
The aspirant condemned the management of the ‘galamsey’ (illegal mining) crisis, alleging that the prominent members of the ruling Ndc are now the kingpins behind the destruction of the environment.
Mr. Mensah expressed deep concern over the state of the youth noting that joblessness has left many wandering the streets as gamblers while young women are increasingly being driven into prostitution due to lack of viable economic alternatives.
Addressing his constituents and the party faithful in Manhyia North, Mr. Mensah called for unity and efforts to ensure the that the NPP comes to power in the next elections to salvage Ghananians from their struggles.
We need all hands on deck he declared and stressed that we must remain united to get rid of an NDC which has nothing to offer the people of this country.
As the party prepares to open nominations Mr. Mensah’s entry into the race is expected to spark interest as he positions himself as a unifier who is capable of bridging gaps and driving a results oriented communication agenda.
