He stressed that when policies or government actions have a negative impact on the citizenry, it is the duty of the party communicators to speak up.
Our duty is to point out where the government is failing but not through fabricated stories,.
We must prioritize constructive criticism that can compel government to reverse from obnoxious policies and do what is right to the citizens of Ghana.
During the interview, Mr. Mensah did not mince words regarding his assessment of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
He characterized the government as being in a state of consistent failure citing several pressing national issues:
He pointed out to the return of the unprecedented power outages (dumsor) as a sign of failed management.
He also highlighted the surge in illegal mining activities (galamsey) as another threat to the nation’s future.
Amos Mensah. took the opportunity to condemn the alleged imposition of unacceptable levies which he claims are crushing the ordinary Ghanaian.
The aspirant raised concerns over the rising trend of joblessness and an increase in what he termed as”unlawful arrest” in the society.
The NDC administration, he alleged, is systematically collapsing the country.
adding that they have employed strategic intimidations including arrests to put fear into Ghanains especially the opposition to suppress and silence them while they pursue their own agendas.
He alleged that while they claim to serve the interests of the people they merely engage in “dirty politics and lip service having designed to throw dust into the eyes of the public.
As he sets his sights on the Constituency Communications post, Mr. Mensah believes that the NPP must act as a shadow government that keeps the current administration on its toes.
