Hon. Isaac Amaning the Assemblyman for the area has indicated a distress call to MTN Ghana, urging the telecommunications giant to urgently intervene in the persistent network crisis that has left his constituents isolated from the rest of the country.

The Kumkumso Bankromisa area is a hub for agricultural food production serving as a contributor to the nation’s food supply.

However the lack of reliable telecommunication infrastructure has turned this economic strength into a source of frustration.

According to Hon. Amaning the absence of an effective network means that farmers are unable to reach buyers in the urban centers, making farm produce in most cases go rotten.

A Perilous Daily Routine:
The situation the Assemblyman said, has reached a desperate point in their quest to conduct business and stay in touch with family or access emergency services.

Amaning reiterated that with this situation the youth of the community are forced to use risky means to make calls.

Hon. Amaning said the youth often climb high trees and trek to the summits of the mountains to make calls.

He said everal attempts have been made to engage the MTN Bibiani office to find a solution to the connectivity deficit but those efforts have yielded no fruits.

We are tired of the silence, Hon Isac indicated.I am therefore making a passionate and urgent appeal to MTN to come to our aid to enable us continue our usual farming business for the benefit of the country.
