Mohammed Mumuni, the Municipal Coordinating Director of Mampong, has died after reportedly falling ill while travelling from Accra to Kumasi.


Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene announced the death, expressing condolences to Mumuni’s family, colleagues and staff of the Mampong Municipal Assembly.
The Regional Minister described Mumuni as a dedicated public servant whose work contributed to the administration and development of the Mampong municipality.
As Municipal Coordinating Director, Mumuni played an important role in the local government system. The position involves overseeing administrative activities within the municipal assembly and coordinating the implementation of government policies and programmes at the local level.

Dr. Amoakohene praised the late official for his commitment to public service and his contribution to the growth of the municipality.
The announcement has prompted tributes from colleagues, residents and others within local government circles, with many remembering Mumuni for his years of service and dedication to public administration.
The Regional Minister also extended his sympathies to the bereaved family, praying that they would find strength and comfort during the difficult period.
