Former Director of Communications at the Presidency and NPP communicator Dennis Miracles Aboagye has spoken truth to his own party.
Speaking on Joy News on Saturday, 5th September, 2026, Dennis Miracles Aboagye said there is nothing wrong with Acting Chief Justice praising the current government.
According to Joy News, Dennis Miracles Aboagye defended Acting Chief Justice Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie after some NPP members criticized him for praising President John Dramani Mahama government.
He said there is nothing wrong with Acting Chief Justice praising the current government if the current government is doing well. He said the Chief Justice is also a Ghanaian who sees what is happening.
Dennis Miracles Aboagye told Joy News that “There is nothing wrong with Acting Chief Justice praising the current government. If the government is doing well, the Chief Justice can praise it. It is not political”.
He said Ghanaians should stop politicizing everything the Acting Chief Justice says. He said praising government for good work is not unconstitutional.
Speaking on Joy News this morning Saturday, 5th September, 2026, Dennis Miracles Aboagye also said dissolving inactive SOE boards is justified.
He said President John Dramani Mahama government decision to dissolve inactive State-Owned Enterprises, SOE boards is justified. He said many SOE boards under NPP were inactive and were just chopping sitting allowances.
According to Joy News, Dennis Miracles Aboagye said “Dissolving inactive SOE boards is justified. Many boards were not working. They were inactive. The current government is right to dissolve them”.
He said some SOE boards did not meet for months but members were taking allowances. He said dissolving them will save Ghana money.
Dennis Miracles Aboagye dropped a bombshell on Joy News when he said indeed NPP sank Ghana, the fact he is a member doesn’t mean he cannot tell the truth.
He said “Indeed NPP sank Ghana. The fact I am a member doesn’t mean I cannot tell the truth. We sank Ghana when we were in power”.
According to Joy News, Dennis Miracles Aboagye said NPP as a party failed Ghanaians when they were in power for 8 years. He said NPP borrowed too much, created too many SOE boards that were inactive, and mismanaged economy.
He said as a member of NPP, he must tell the truth that NPP sank Ghana. He said being a member doesn’t mean he should lie to Ghanaians.
He said “I am NPP member, but I will tell the truth. NPP sank Ghana. We are the reason Ghana went to IMF. We are the reason SOE boards became inactive and were just taking money”.
Speaking on Joy News, Dennis Miracles Aboagye said NPP communicators should stop defending everything NPP did. He said they should admit that NPP sank Ghana.
He said President John Dramani Mahama government is now trying to fix Ghana that NPP sank. He said praising Mahama government by Acting Chief Justice is in order because Mahama is fixing Ghana.
He said dissolving inactive SOE boards is part of fixing Ghana that NPP sank.
Dennis Miracles Aboagye told Joy News that he as NPP member is disappointed in how NPP handled SOEs. He said many SOE boards were just jobs for the boys and were inactive.
He said current government dissolving inactive SOE boards is justified and should be supported by all, including NPP members.
According to Joy News, Dennis Miracles Aboagye said he is not afraid to tell the truth even though he is NPP member. He said truth is that NPP sank Ghana.
He said “The fact I am a member doesn’t mean I cannot tell the truth. I will tell the truth that indeed NPP sank Ghana”.
