While party hierarchy are yet to issue an official statement to confirmthe hints, a growing faction of Agyepong’s loyalists are not only confirming these rumors but actively encouraging the business mogul to walk away.

For many of his supporters the potential departure is seen as a long overdue move to escape what they describe it as “toxic internal politics” and deep seated hatred from certain elements within the party.

In a series of interviews with the correspondent Kennedy Agyepong’s cronies claimed that the party’s leadership has consistently failed to acknowledge the immense sacrifices the veteran politician has been making in the party.

Kojo Ampofo, a dedicated supporter from Ejisu Onwe reiterated that Kennedy Agyepong has been one of the party’s most reliable financiers and organizers.yet instead of being treated as a pillar of the party Agyepong is frequently sidelined and labeled as a controversial figure by those who fear his influence and his penchant for speaking the truth.

He alleged that certain forces within the Npp hate to see the development of the party.

They are more interested in fruitless criticism of those who genuinely seek the welfare of the organization than in fostering growth and unity, he added.

Accusations of Politics of Confusion
The sentiment of betrayal was palpable among his grassroots base.

Richard Kyeremanteng from Barekese insisted that if th exit rumors are accurate then supporters should celebrate the decision.

Kyeremanteng accused the Npp leadership of prioritizing politics of confusion over transparency and cohesiveness.

If Kennedy Agyepong leaves today we would take advantage to sing hallelujah, Kyeremanteng remarked.

He indicated that the current Npp structure does not value the strength and vision that Kennedy brings to the table because they prefer to stifle those who want transparent and open door admistration.

The discourse surrounding Kennedy Agyepong’s exit has taken a bold turn with many supporters who urge Agyepong not to just leave but instead form a new political party.

Monica Abiba, a supporter from Kumasi Ayigya Zongo insisted that it would be prudent if the business mogul could establish a new political party to contest the 2028 general elections.

This is because the Npp is a potential loser and have nothing substantial to offer Ghanaians when mandate is given to thm in the 2028 general elections

It is time for Kennedy to lead a new movement that can truly compete and provide a leadership that the people of this country would accept and vote for him in the 2028 general elections, Abjba concluded.
