SUSPECTED TERRORISTS IN FOILED OPERATIONS IN GHANA….As Burkinabe Police Seizes Amunitioms, Phones At SISSALA WEST DISTRICT.
Information reaching Connectghananews .com from a border town in Ghana which links to Burkina Faso, Tumu Fatchu in the Sissala West District indicates that the Burkinabe Police were nearly successful to arrest some suspected terrorists who allegedly bulldozed their way down in the country for an unknown mission.
Unluckily for the police as the reports potrayed, the external security forces missed the alleged terrorists, but a search conducted from their hideout revealed number of items including ammunitions and other deadly weapons.
According to the information gathered, at about 1145hrs yesterday, 27th September 2023, the command gathered information that some persons suspected to be terrorists might have entered Ghana through Fatchu, a community in the Sissala West District.
This occurred when Police in Burkina Faso received intelligence about the suspected terrorist in a hideout in (Burkina Faso) near Fatchu( Ghana) and immediately moved in to accoust them, but they bolted even before the police arrived at their hideout.
It was said a Ghanaian voter ID card, two (2) mobile phones, unspecified number of ammunitions , clothings , eight bicycles among others were found at their hideout.
A search into their phones revealed pictures of men dressed in terrorist regalia of which one young man of about forty years bearing the same resemblance as the picture on the Ghanaian voter ID card was detected.
The police in Burkina Faso the reports alleged have identified the person with the Ghanaian voter I D card ABDULAI IBRAHIM as DIALLO NOUFOU; a suspected terrorist.
The security services in Gwoll in Ghana have been notified of this development and are currently conducting patrols intermittently in and around Fatchu to track down such suspects for action.
The command is closely monitoring the situation and any further development would be communicated accordingly, our sources hinted.
