Students complain bitterly over lack of potable water in their schools.
The students of Sefwi Nkwadum Roman Catholic Primary School in the Sefwi Akontombra District in the Western North Region of Ghana are complaining bitterly for help over lack of portable water in their schools which has become their major burden for some years now.
Today, some of the students who have devoted themselves to fetch water from towns to the school campus spoke to the Newsmen that, their school is in crisis as a result of lacking many things in the school like computer library, dual desks, teachers, inadequate infrastructure and that of portable water.
According to the students, it takes them some hours before they can fetch water for the whole school from Nursery to Basic 6 and it’s causing them to perform low in classes.
This is because before we would finish fetching the water and get back to the classrooms and join our colleagues in the class it’s takes two periods or subjects of which the teacher will not go back again because of two or three students who wasn’t in class at that time.
Some of the students also made an appeal that those who have progress in life especially those in the Western North Region should come to their aid and support them with portable water.
