RESIDENTS OF SEKETIA COMMUNITY CRIES OVER LACK OF SOCIAL AMENITIES

Residents of Seketia-Kwatwoma a farming community in the Jaman North of the Bono Region, have expressed worries over lack of .social amenities in the area, thus calling on authorities to come to their aid, so as to alleviate the suffering of the people.

“Despite persistent appeals to government and the Assembly on the urgent need to provide basic amenities in our community, nothing has been done to alleviate our plight in the area. We lack, Network Service, Police Station, Light Extension, portable water and people defecate about any how, causing another problem for the community”, the residents lamented.

Residents, urged the government to deem it necessary to focus on the rapid infrastructural development in the community.

The Assembly Man for the area Mr Obeng Stephen, said the absence of a toilet facility and Poor Communication Service in this community has worsen the situation in the area, and thus calling on Assembly and the government to assist the community in constructing a new toilet facility for the people, to an existing dilapidated one which has see no renovation for several years”, he stressed.

However residents, have accused leadership of the district Assembly for failing to provide the community with these essential amenities, since they took over the assembly.
