Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana and Transport Operators jointly suspend transport fare increment

Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana and Transport Operators jointly suspend transport fare increment.

Following series of engagement between our mother body the Ghana Private Road Transport Union(GPRTU), leadership of both Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana and Transport Operators have jointly suspended with immediate effect plans to increase transport fares by 20 percent which should have taken effect from Saturday April 13, 2024.

The union plans to make official announcement regarding transport fare increment at the back of another engagement slated for Wednesday April 17, 2024.

Drivers should therefore halt any increment and stick to current fares for all vehicle transport services across the country.

However, leadership is relentlessly pushing for a percentage point that will be beneficial to drivers to keep our business afloat under this economic quagmire we’ve been plunged into.
