As part of measures to discourage the youth from drug abuse and other antisocial vices to enhance government policy in the health sector, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bibiani Anwiaso Bekwai Hon. Sebastian Obeng has disclosed that his outfit has already embarked on sensitization programs to educate the youth on the dangers that associated with drug abuse and the need to refrain from it.
Hon Sabastian Obeng dropped the hints in reaction to the growing trend of drug abuse that have been reportedly characterized number of the youth within his Municipality.
The Mce underscored that as part of policy to discourage drug addictions within his jurisdiction the Assembly in collaboration with the government have been doing their best to curb the menace.

With this agenda on on file Hon. Sabastian Obeng reiterated that the Assembly is ready to support anyone who aimed at championing the cause of drug abusse to enhance their ongoing anti drug campaign in the municpality.
We want our youth to be responsible citizens who can contribute to the national development agenda,the MCE stated.
The MCE further warned that drug addictions including the use of cocaine and tramadol does not only ruin minds and destroys health, but such substances also renders one the disadvantage of securing gainful employment from both government and private sectors.
He emphasized that even as more opportunities are being created, only those who are physically and mentally sound would have the opportunities to be employed.
He assured that the government under His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama is committed to the welfare of the youth especially on the areas of Job creation.
Concluding he advised the youth to be responsible and refrain from antisocial vices including drug abuse to enable them gain employment from the government and private sectors to earn their living when opportunity comes.
