Road Safety Authority Urges Vulcanizers To Comply With Professinal Ethics
The National Road Safety Authority has stressed the need for the Vulcanizers in the country to be law abiding with the ethics that govern their businesses to ensure smooth operations.
Addressing members of the Ashanti Regional branch of the Vulcanizers Association of Ghana on Sunday, an official of the outfit, Mr Samuel Gyimah expressed gratitude that through the influence of the Authority, Parliament has passed laws that govern the activities of Vulcanizers in the in the country.
He said through the passage of the bill, Vulcanizers are expected to work on a professional manner by complying fully with the rules of the Road Safety ultimately to help curb road accidents in the country.
Mr Gyimah indicated that in order for the Road Safety Authority to recognize Vulcanizers, the organization is ready to issue free accreditations to Vulcanizers effective this year, after which a moderate fee would be charged on Vulcanizers who will apply for accrediting from next year 2025.
Any vulcanizer who will fail to comply with this simple measures may do so at their own risk, Mr Gyimah pointed out.
Mr Gyimah hinted that in order to qualify for accreditation, a vulcanizer would be required to furnish the Road Safety with their business registration certificate, membership certificate of the Association, Ghana Standard Board Carburator certificate, District Assembly’s certificate among others before accreditation would be issued.
According to the official, in order to ensure professionalism in the Vulcanizers sector, National Road Safety Authority would engage the sector with workshops, seminars among others to help sharpened their skills.
He therefore entreated the Vulcanizers to be law abiding for their own benefit.
In his brief contribution, the chairman of the Association Mr Robert Aryertey urged members to remain resolute and comply with the rules of the Association to help them benefit from the package deals of the outfit.
