Ghanaian actress and fashion personality Nana Akua Addo has announced her separation from her husband, Harold Norman, weeks after allegations of domestic violence involving the couple became public.
The 42-year-old made the announcement on Friday in an Instagram post of her at Lagos Fashion Week 2026, where she walked the runway for fashion designer Sevonne Dejana.
The appearance marked her first major public outing since videos showing her with facial injuries circulated on social media.
Addo, who appeared emotional on the runway, closed the fashion show in a wedding gown, which she said represented the end of a chapter in her personal life and the beginning of another.
The mother of two described the appearance as more than a fashion presentation, saying it represented her decision to embrace change and move forward.
“Last night, I walked into my moment and gave the runway a finale to remember. I closed the show in a wedding gown, just as I closed a chapter in my own story,” she wrote.
“Perhaps there is something beautiful about endings, new beginnings, and the courage to embrace both. Closing @sevondejana at Lagos Fashion Week 2026 was more than a walk for me.
That statement truly had to be made. Some chapters end, but the woman always remains the story.”
The announcement comes amid an ongoing marital dispute between Addo and Norman, which attracted public attention following the circulation of videos purportedly showing the actress with injuries.
New Telegraph recalls that Addo had petitioned the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on August 20, alleging that her husband subjected her to physical, emotional and economic abuse.
The police subsequently confirmed that Norman was arrested on August 27 to assist with investigations and granted police enquiry bail two days later.
His scheduled court appearance on October 7 was reportedly delayed after his lawyer informed investigators that he had been hospitalised.
Addo had earlier acknowledged the incident, stating that the matter was under police investigation.
The Ghana Police Service also disclosed that Norman’s hospitalisation had delayed his arraignment over the alleged domestic abuse.
The actress’s separation announcement comes as the case continues to attract public attention, with the welfare of the couple’s two children also a concern amid the marital dispute.
