Momo vendor killed by robbers at Krofrom in Kumasi.

Patricia Nimako, a 27-year-old Mobile Money (MoMo) vendor, was shot and killed at Krofrom, Kumasi in the Ashanti region by an unknown assailants when she was on duty.

The suspected armed robbers fled with the deceased cell phones and an amount of GH₵10,000.

According to eye witnessed account on Thursday, February 13, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the two armed robbers reportedly stormed the kiosk where the deceased was operating her Money business and without any provocation shot her dead.

An eyewitness indicated that after killing Patricia the robbers quickly took possession of the money and cell phone from the deceased and vanished from the scene with their powerful motor ride they were using.

“We tried to chase the perpetrators but their gun scared us, they left and went in the direction of airport road,” stated Evans.

Upon conveying the body to the hospital Doctors at the Manhyia Government hospital confirmed the woman’s death.

Meanwhile police have mounted a search for the arrest of the culprits and possible prosecution at press time.
