Ambassador for Europe & Africa: Rally behind the most choicest President John Dramani Mahama’ to transform the country.

Democracy Ambassador for Europe and Africa, Mr. Dan Anno Opoku double as the then Ashanti Regional Chairman for June 4th Movement Secretariat has made unwavering remarks about the president of Ghana, H. E. John Dramani Mahama describing him as president Ghana never had and advocate for Ghanaians to rally their unflinching support behind him to develop the nation.

Mr. Anno Poku made these remarks in line with the historic victory of Mr. Mahama and the NDC party.

Speaking to the media expressed his gratitude to Ghanaians for overwhelming voting for John Dramani Mahama stressing that, the country will bounce back to its past glory and its a sign of better days ahead.

He was with the conviction that every nation developed through tax mobilization and for John Dramani Mahama to succeed in developing the country, he needs all hands on desk.
However, he proposed taxing churches. Explaining his intentions to tax the church, Mr. Dan Anno. Opoku underscored that the developed countries have made tax collection as an obligation for every person living in America, and institutional tax collection is cogently enforced.

That not said, nation-building is a collective responsibility, and many institutions and individuals in Ghana failed to pay tax, and such habit is retaring development and its time to constitute strong move to tax those institutions and the church is not exceptional.

He expressed worry about the manner in which Ghanaians worship God is negatively affecting the country development. Stressing further that, in other countries, church activities are properly regulated but in Ghana, pastors have used the entire week to organise church activities engaging workers at the during working hours contributing negatively to the downward trend of our tax mobilization.

He advised Ghanaians not to spend all our time in the church instead, do well to support the government of the day to develop the country.

Mr. Anno was emphatic about how government workers misuse government vehicles and properties on non-working days and urged public workers to disist from such conduct and contribute their individual quota towards the transformation of the country.
