Osofo Yaw Assare, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the Risen People’s Party (RPP), has issued a strong call for peace and unity among Ghanaians, emphasizing their crucial role in achieving the nation’s economic goals.
In an exclusive interview, Chairman Assare stated that Ghana’s progress hinges on its citizens prioritizing peace and unity over divisive behaviors.
“No country can develop if its citizens refuse to promote peace and unity,” Assare declared.
He expressed concern that many Ghanaians view these values as alien concepts, failing to prioritize them for the betterment of the nation.
He specifically pointed to political animosity, discord, and a lack of discipline, particularly among politicians, as significant impediments to progress.
Assare argued that the RPP has emerged to address these “bottlenecks” and liberate Ghanaians from their economic struggles.
He questioned the paradoxical nature of leaders ostensibly promoting peace while seemingly encouraging violence through indirect means.
He cited the recent peaceful demonstration by the Judiciary Services of Ghana, where Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo Markins allegedly assaulted a police officer, and instances of politicians attacking opponents without justification, as examples of behaviors that undermine unity and progress.
The RPP Greater Accra Chairman firmly believes that peace, unity, and discipline are the cornerstones of a thriving economy.
He expressed confidence that Ghanaians will recognize the potential of the Risen People’s Party’s policies and elect them to power in the 2028 general elections, entrusting them with the task of rescuing the nation from its current economic challenges.
Assare’s call to action highlights the growing concern over the impact of political polarization and social division on Ghana’s development.
His message resonates with those who believe that a united and peaceful society is a prerequisite for achieving sustainable economic growth and prosperity for all Ghanaians.
The RPP hopes that their focus on peace, unity, and discipline will resonate with voters and pave the way for a brighter future for the nation.
