Anti-LGBTQ+ bill isn’t robust enough, though a step in a right direction.
Ghana’s Paliament was desensitized to the pernicious potency of (human extinction) improper human sexual behavior.
Otherwise, the bill would be more robust than what they have passed.
Parliament has passed the bill on the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values also known as the anti-LGBTQ bill.
The bill proscribes LGBT activities and criminalizes its promotion, advocacy and funding.
Persons caught in the act would be subjected to a 6 months to 3 year jail term with promoters and sponsors of the act bearing a 3 to 5 year jail term.
Ahead of the passage, sponsors of the bill filed a motion for a further consideration stage of the bill.
