Bridge the divide with Kennedy Agyepong or risk losing the party to another cycle of opposition.

Despite the party’s ongoing efforts to consolidate support for the flagbearership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a significant portion of the Ashanti voter base remains deeply aggrieved by the perceived marginalization of the former Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Ohene Agyepong

The Voice of the Grassroots;
For many supporters in Kumasi, Kennedy Agyepong represents more than just a politician; he is the embodiment of the “no nonsense” rhetoric that resonates with the disillusioned supporters arguing that the cold shoulder currently being turned toward Agyepong is driven by sheer political hatred rather than genuine policy disagreement.

Alfred Oppong a party loyalist residing in Dichemso, Kumasi, did not mince words when he addressed the current state of intra party relations.

Dr. Bawumia has a legitimate chance to win, but he is unlikely to succeed if he enters the campaign trail without a forceful, commanding voice,” Oppong stated

.Kennedy Agyepong’s voice rings bells on every political platform. We cannot afford to lose a figure of his caliber.

Those within the party acting like ‘Angels of Light’ while sowing discord must stop.

We need peace and genuine reconciliation, not dirty politics.

A Warning Against ‘Pampering;’
The sentiment in Kumasi suggests that the perceived isolation of Agyepong is a tactical error that could prove fatal in the 2028 polls.

Local perspectives emphasize that Agyepong’s criticisms—often perceived as harsh are based on facts that the party establishment would rather ignore.

Ante Rita a popular shop attendant near the Kumasi Airport, expressed the frustration of the average voter on the ground.

She argued that Agyepong has committed no severe offenses to warrant his dismissal or the current ongoing “noisemaking” designed to paint him as an enemy of the party.

They are busy pampering Dr. Bawumia while alienating the very people who bring the energy,” Rita noted.

Adding, If the party leadership continues on this path of exclusion, they are setting themselves up for another defeat in 2028.

It is time for the noise to stop and for the party to bring
everyone back to the table.

The Path to 2028:
The message from the Ashanti region is clear: While the NPP leadership may be focused on internal consolidation, the grassroots believe that victory in 2028 is contingent upon unity.

To the supporters in Kumasi, Kennedy Agyepong is an essential cog in the NPP machine.

They believe his ability to mobilize and speak the truth to power is the exact fuel the party needs to retain its relevance and capture the presidency.
